上周五德國的同行聽了周躍教授的講課，她們認為他講得真好。重慶新橋醫院周躍教授是中國微創脊柱外科領軍人物。他也是世界微創脊柱大師，在歐美國家非常有知名度。2018年他邀請世界微創脊柱大師prof.Mayer到訪他的醫院。周躍教授先后赴英格蘭格拉斯哥矯形外科中心學習骨科，奧地利因斯布魯大學醫學院創傷外科中心學習創傷骨科，法國巴黎大學第三醫學院脊柱外科中心學習微創脊柱，法國里昂大學神經外科醫院中心學習神經外科、美國南加州大學醫學院洛杉磯分校微創脊柱外科中心學習頸椎手術。

Last Friday the German colleagues followed Prof. Zhou Yue’s lecture online, and they think that is really a piece of work. Prof. Zhou Yue from Xinqiao Hospital of Army Medical University is one of the pioneering figures in the field of MISS in China. He is also a worldwide renowned MISS expert with high reputation in America and Europe.In 2018, Prof. Mayer, the worldwide renowned MISS expert, visited Xinqiao Hospital of Army Medical University invited by Prof. Zhou. Prof. Zhou used to be a fellow at the Orthopedic Surgery Center in Glasgow, England, the Trauma Center of the University Hospital of Innsbruck, Austria, the Spine Surgery Center of the Third School of Medicine of the University of Paris, France, the Neurosurgery Center of the University of Lyon, France, and the MISS Center of the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, the US. 

很多中國的脊柱醫生都仰慕周躍教授，大師之所以是大師，是冰凍三尺，非一日之寒。2000年重慶新橋醫院微創脊柱手術56臺，2020年微創脊柱手術3800多臺。這種高段位的有實力的醫生都是獨立思考，獨立決策，否則他們絕對不會把醫生這個事業做得這么大。作為一名優秀的醫生假如連判斷力都沒有，他是無法取得重大成功的。

Many spine surgeons in China admire Prof. Zhou a lot. But Rome wasn't built in a day. In 2000, only 56 MISS operations were completed at the Xinqiao Hospital of Army Medical University. But in 2020, the number has reached 3800. A top class surgeon makes their own decisions independently, otherwise they would never have been successful. A surgeon will never achieve great success without the ability of independent thinking.
